Ry Russell started his career in the film industry taking over one of the nations oldest drive-in movie theaters and resurrected it from a relic of Americana into an icon of its industry. After being recognized as one of Maine’s youngest 40 under 40 members, Ry’s interest in media continued to grow.
In 2019, Ry launched his podcast WeedBudz Radio to explore the emerging cannabis market. After seeing the incredible amount of plastic pollution created by all industries, Ry founded the bio-plastics company, Knot Plastic. Knot Plastic uses entirely plant based technologies and inputs to provide alternatives for petroleum-based problems.
