David Lehmpuhl is a professor of chemistry and is currently the interim dean of the College of STEM at Colorado State University Pueblo.

Prior to a reorganization in 2020, he served as the dean of the College of Science and Mathematics since 2015, following two interim dean roles starting in 2012. He provides leadership and manages programs in biology, cannabis biology and chemistry, chemistry, civil engineering technology, construction management, engineering, mathematics, physics, and wildlife and natural resources.

Previous roles included serving for nine years as the chemistry department chair at CSU-Pueblo while also rising through the academic ranks.

Lehmpuhl received his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
