Christopher Shade, PhD, founder and CEO of Quicksilver Scientific, is the driving force behind the company’s development and innovation. Growing up in a toxic steel town, Dr. Shade began exploring questions about sustainability and the role environment plays in health, ultimately igniting his early career in organic and biodynamic farming. He founded Quicksilver Scientific in 2005 after starting a lab to analyze methyl-mercury at the University of Illinois, a process that ultimately led to the development of his patented mercury speciation test.

Since then, Dr. Shade has become a recognized expert and teacher on mercury and liposomal delivery systems. He regularly lectures and provides training to medical and natural practitioner audiences in the U.S. and internationally, speaking on the subjects of mercury, environmental toxicities, neuroinflammation, immune dysregulation, and the human detoxification system. His vast depth and breadth of knowledge, passion for healing, and intuitive understanding of chemistry and biology are reflected in Quicksilver Scientific’s well-designed detoxification protocols, unique supplement delivery systems, and patented heavy metals tests.

Dr. Shade’s current focus is on the development of cutting-edge, lipid-based delivery systems for nutraceuticals, such as liposomes and micro-emulsion systems, that dramatically increase the bioavailability of supplements and protocols. Quicksilver Scientific’s wide-ranging product lineup is differentiated by its reliance upon scientific data and clinical studies, and addresses a growing consumer need for high quality, effective, and affordable nutraceutical and detoxification solutions. The company’s Immune Charge+™ 100mL was recently named Best New Supplement by The 2020 NEXTY Awards, which recognize the most progressive, innovative, inspiring and trustworthy products in the natural products industry. Each day, Dr. Shade and the Quicksilver team work to redefine the way we deliver vital nutrients into our bodies.
